What we ordered: 1. Salmon Motoyaki with Mozzarella (Chef Special) 2. Gyuniku Hamburger Japanese Curry Rice 3. House Beef Burger x 2 4. Creamy Salmon Fettuccine 5. House Salad 6. Salt & Pepper Salmon Ribs We quite enjoyed the food. I think some portion are quite filling, some portion not filling enough. I think the Salmon Motoyaki was not filling enough, so maybe perhaps can pair it with rice next time haha. The house burger as well, I think for big eaters it might not be enough. The creamy Salmon Fettuccine on the other hand, was very heavy. Overall, quite enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The service as well is really good. Seating was quite okay as well, perfect for groups. Not to cramp despite from the outside looks small. I also quite like the small touches in the toilet where they provided sanitary pads for woman in case of emergencies and the reusable hand towels! Overall, enjoyable experience. Will come back again! (maybe bring my furkids next time)

Sitting layout was properly organized and the clever use of interior lighting perfectly suits large group get togethers or romantic settings. Service was prompt and the team was very attentive and proactive to our needs. The menu was simple and concise, with the aim of highlighting each dishes' freshness and original taste and character. Should the timing and situation permit, consider having a chat with Chef Tham and Miss May (if they are not too busy) on their background and culinary journey. There's plenty of fun culinary tidbits and surprising pointers to garner from their collective expertise. Overall it was an awesome dining experience with quality food prepared with passion, love of their craft, and a team that tended to us from their hearts. Can't wait to return to this "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow"!! Note: Sorry for the late review. We dined at Chameleon on 21st November 2024.

Another nice Japanese / Western restaurant in Kota Kemuning. Clean & cozy place. Quality Food. Friendly staff. Food portion just nice & sufficient for each person (my personal opinion)I like their Beef Steak Don, my HM had Honey Bake Chicken, my 2 juniors had Japanese curry rice & Barramundi with White Source. ALL ARE EXCELLENT. Join their member, every bill is at least 5% discount. Kota Kemuning is not an easy place to run food business. The residents here call themselves Kota Complainingvery high turn over rate of food operators here. I have seen many many restaurants changed hand and still gone at the end. Just imagine….If Chameleon food is not good, they could have gone long time back. So they have their signature dishes that attract repeating customers and I m one of them. Should bring your family and try it out.

We were initially reluctant to try this restaurant after seeing several negative reviews posted in recent weeks and months. However, since we were nearby with our pet and feeling hungry, we decided to give it a try. The food we ordered today was generally good. It seems the quality has improved. We may consider visiting again if we're in Kota Kemuning, and we hope the improvements continue. The service was also good.

Nice and quiet place to dine. Food is good! The chef will approach you to recommend specialty food of the day. After a few more visits, I realised that it’s a pet friendly restaurant. Now it’s my favourite dinner place with my pet. They also serve vegetarian burger and fried rice, which are both very delicious! BTW, their pet meal also very yummy. My dog loves it so much!

We discovered Chameleon during one of our regular weekend food quests, and it quickly became a memorable experience worth sharing. This restaurant is a rare gem where food, service, and ambiance harmonize beautifully—reflecting the owners’ passion and attention to detail. From the moment we walked in, the service felt close to fine dining—attentive, thoughtful, and never rushed. The server greeted us warmly, patiently walked us through the menu, and offered sincere recommendations based on what we seemed curious about. They even highlighted dishes that may take longer to prepare, showing a real respect for our time and experience. After placing our order, they returned with a printed receipt to double-check every item—a rare and appreciated gesture. When our food arrived, they didn’t just serve; they presented each dish with a brief but helpful explanation of ingredients and what flavors to expect. Throughout the meal, they checked in at just the right moments, ensuring everything met our expectations—and even offered an extra serving of Japanese curry when they noticed we had finished it quickly. What we ordered: Honey Baked Chicken – Perfectly seasoned, juicy and tender with a caramelized glaze that strikes a lovely balance of sweet and savory. The sauce paired naturally without overpowering the dish. Creamy Cheese Onion Soup – Rich, velvety, and full of umami depth. The cheese didn’t overwhelm but added a satisfying creaminess, while the onion gave it sweetness and warmth. Tori Katsu Japanese Curry Rice – The katsu was impressively crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside. The curry was comforting, mild in spice, with a well-rounded depth of flavor—not too thick, and didn't overwhelm the katsu. It came with white miso soup which is not common, and does not leave an aftertaste. Honey Lemon Drink – Refreshing and soothing. Before we left, the server, chef, and owner personally checked in—remembering each of our dishes without needing to ask again. That personal touch truly elevated the entire dining experience.

After the first visit of this restaurant, I would said this is the best Japanese Western - Fusion restaurant in Klang Valley, We ordered a snack food - Karaage chicken recommended by the friendly manager and according to the chef, he has many years of working experience in Tokyo restaurants, so this Karaage chicken tastes with garlic and ginger unlike the typical Karaage chicken in most Japanese restaurants. The size of the Karaage chicken is one bite size based on the Izakaya concept. Must try when you are there. The mushroom crab soup, it is one of the signature and crafted by the chef, the soup tastes delicious with crab meat. Must try too. Lastly, the Seafood pasta was cooked with seasoned seafood soup base recipe. The seafood was served fresh and tastes delicious with the spaghetti. All the food is crafted with passion by the chef and owner of the restaurant, the signature dish brings bold flavors and heartfelt creativity to every bite. So talk to the chef if you able to catch him and he is friendly to about his crated food. We had a wonderful dinner with my furkid and we will definitely come back to check out other recommended food by the main chef.

Great spot to experience unique flavours. The grilled eggplant was out of the world, I could just eat it for mains. The honey glazed baked chicken and pan grilled barramundi were not too bad as well. The staff are very friendly and they have the most adorable pup. A place definitely to come back to.
